To be upfront with you, Jelyn, I don't think I'm the right person who can answer your question. I suggest you ask someone at DepEd or whatever government agency that is responsible for constructing school buildings.

I have a suggestion, though, on how to reduce the cost of school buildings.

I noticed that most classrooms in school buildings, especially old public school buildings, are partitioned with concrete. This makes the total cost expensive, the whole structure heavy and future modifications difficult or even impossible.

It would be more cost efficient if, say, a one-story school building is made like one big box. It can then be divided into several rooms using dry-wall partitions. That's what's being done in malls to divide the stores and even the rooms in hospitals.

Some real estate developers, in fact, sell houses that's nothing but a big box. They call it the basic package. It's up to the buyer to divide the house into whatever number of rooms he wants using dry-wall partitions.

With dry-wall partitions, the three building problems I cited above will be avoided.

I hope this somehow helps.

Thanks for dropping by and good luck on your research.

Hello Jerome,

I tried to reply 3 times to your comment but they didn't appear; something was wrong with my site. I hope this works.

Thanks for the remark.

If I can only write half as well about Philippine real estate as you do about Formula 1, I'll be king of my niche.

If there's anyone who can flourish as a blogger, I think it's you.

You know so much about F1 that you can easily establish yourself as an authority on the subject. People who share the same passion for F1 need people like you.

Thanks for dropping by, Jerome and my best regards

Hello Sharlene

You might want to read my description of <a href="http://pinoydreamhousetoday.com/directory/products-and-services/"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Cebu Province in my directory. I'm afraid, though, that you already know this.

I have not done much research on Cebu City. What I know, though, is lots in Cebu City subdivisions are kinda pricey. Prices of some are comparable to Metro Manila subdivisions.

Since my blog is an information resource center and not an online marketplace for houses for sale, the best I can do is connect you to some:

<a href="http://bahay.ph/"target="_blank' rel="nofollow">bahay.ph
<a href="http://www.skyscrapercity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1786"target="_blank rel="nofollow">SkyscraperCity

There are more; kindly just Google them.

It may also help if you read the study I made that became the basis of my article that was published by the Inquirer.net. A link to which is provided at the bottom of this entry. It's in PDF format, btw.

I hope they help.

Thanks for dropping by, Sharlene

P.S. off-topic, I suggest you get your own avatar at <a href="http://en.gravatar.com/"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">gravatar.com

I can't change my own picture in my own blog coz if I do, all those without their own gravatar will have my picture beside their name.

Congrats! All the hardwork, sleepless nights, (not to mention the loooong hours of research) had finally brought you here... your own site! I'm right behind you on this and all your future endeavors. I'm sure you'll be able to help a lot of Pinoys in their quest to find their perfect homes. =)

Hi Jun,

A down-to-earth assessment of the housing needs of the Filipinos. There are so many underlying reasons why buying a house in the Philippines is almost an impossibility. Hopefully, your blog will enable potential buyers to realize the dream of owning one for themselves. Congratulations and keep up the good work!
