Want to own your dream house? Invite me as a friend in Facebook

Facebook logoRecently, I encountered a problem with this website.

For your information, like all blogs, I receive scores of comment spams everyday. And recently the problem has become bothersome. Below is a sample of a well-written comment spam.

Thanks for informing me about this. Before coming to this site i had no knowledge of this thing. But now your site give me a great information.

This is a fairly decent comment spam; believe me, there are countless that give links to pornographic sites; some to gambling sites and even others to scams. These spammers are relentless!

Like I said in my other post, comment spams are not made by real people. They are perpetrated by real people who own and want to promote their websites but their comments are generated and propagated by so-called spiders or robots (programs, actually) across the world wide web. These bots automatically crawl the internet super highway and plant comment spams in thousands, maybe, even tens of thousands of websites, forum or blogs with the press of the Enter key of the keyboard.

These comment spams cannot automatically appear in the comment section of my blog (or any other blog), though, because all comments, including legitimate ones, are subject to my moderation. I have the option to: Approve, Delete, Edit or brand them as Spam. So, if at any time, you post a comment and you don’t immediately see it in the comment section, don’t resubmit it for you will double-post your comment (there was one who submitted the same comment six times). Just be patient for I may be in slumber land when you post your comment.

I know of at least two ways to filter these comment spams:

Recently, I encountered a problem with Akismet; mine had a bug. Even my own replies were being filtered, i.e., I could not reply to comments in my own website. Thus, I was forced to deactivate it.

Captcha is okay, but I have a better and a more fun solution to resolve my problem with comment spams – Invite me as a friend in Facebook if you want to make a comment. Invite me via junsanchez08@gmail.com

That way, we both gain friends and I am assured that a real person, not a bot, is making the comment. Whoever you are, I will accept your invitation to be my friend in Facebook; just conduct yourself properly in FB for I have seen so many Facebook users who have the gall of posting pictures of their drunken stupors during wild parties. And, please, do not invite me to play Mafia Wars, Farmville or any other application that I consider as waste of my precious time. Though, you may invite me to join worthwhile causes or advocacies. I’m specially interested in “Poverty and Hunger Alleviation in the Philippines.”

Lastly, I am going to make a very important announcement soon, maybe this Sunday at the latest. Suffice it to say that I am currently developing my second website.

God-willing, using nothing but this blog together with my upcoming website (an offshoot of my important announcement), I am going to pay my debts and build my first dream house in Old Sta. Rosa within the next 2 to 3 years. In fact, I already know the subdivision where I will build it.  I’ll start with a vacant lot that is at least 500 square meters. I’ve already conveyed my plan to a contractor – BJ Evangelista – who had commented on one of my posts.

I have a master plan – a set of different strategies (all are legal and ethical) I’ve learned in College, Grad School, in my so many researches and the hundreds of books I’ve read in my lifetime. I will pour everything I learned – in and out of school – to achieve this mission.

I will let you in on each and every step that I will take as I turn this plan into reality. Let’s all build our dream houses together.

Don’t be deluded, though, into thinking that it will be easy; it shall require a lot of hard work, discipline and sacrifices along the way. You will only reap what you sow.

So, if you have any comment, question or suggestion; even if you’re just remotely tickled by my ideas, invite me as a friend in Facebook.

I promise, I will not spam you : )

Thanks a lot

P.S. Below is one of the images taken during our tour last Thursday, October 1, of New Sta. Rosa and just a tad west, Silang Cavite.
